The 2016 Mahindra XUV500 is characterized by a revised exterior, a refurbished interior and a list of new features. It was launched in India in May this year.
The revision in styling includes a redesigned grille with chrome appliqués, new foglamps with chrome surrounds, a reshaped hood, new 17-inch alloy wheels, a chrome window lining and a chrome tailgate trim. The interior gets a new dual-tone dashboard, a six-way electric driver’s seat, beige leather seat upholstery, blue lighting, illuminated scuff plates, an electric sunroof, push-button start, and aluminium pedals.
The updated list of features on the XUV500 include static bending projector headlamps (similar to cornering lamps) that swivel with respect to steering input, a logo-projector beneath the ORVMs, a brake energy regeneration system, a keyless entry system, and a new 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system that has a reverse/parking camera and a voice alert system.
