According to a report by CarWale, M&M will launch the Mahindra Scorpio facelift by mid-November. Updates will include design revisions to the exterior along with minor changes to the interior and additions to the list of features on offer.
Spy pictures have been doing the rounds online for months now revealing clues about the new exterior. The facelift will sport a new toothed grill. Redesigned fog lamp housings with circular units have also been revealed in spy shots. The Mahindra Scorpio facelift will have a revised tail lamp cluster with red tint stop lamp glass replacing the clear lens glass present currently.
On the inside, the seats could get new upholstery, and the colour scheme of the dashboard panels may be new as well. The facelift is expected to bring with it the 7-inch touchscreen unit that is currently present in the Mahindra XUV500. While the unit will feature Connected Apps and EcoSense, Android Auto will make an appearance only next year.
Revisions to the specifications sheet will include higher power and torque outputs from the existing 2.2 L mHawk diesel engine. A gain of around 20 hp is expected. In July, Pawan Goenka confirmed that Intelli-Hybrid technology will be given a miss.
