Mahindra will unveil a new "off-highway' vehicle built for the North American market on March 2, 2018. Announced last year in November along with the inauguration of a new manufacturing facility in Detroit, Michigan, the Mahindra Roxor promises to be, in the company's words, “unlike anything currently on the market”.

A report from November suggests that the UV will borrow the SsangYong’s Tivoli’s 1.6-litre engine which meets Euro VI emission norms. A 5-speed/6-speed manual gearbox is likely to serve as the transmission, sending power to all four wheels. Based on the teaser, the Roxor off-road vehicle will be a two-seater.
Not much is known about the Mahindra Roxor at this stage. The vehicle is expected to feature a rugged, slightly utilitarian exterior focusses primarily on off-road capabilities. The Mahindra Thar could be the design inspiration for the Roxor.
