Mahindra launched the Verito sedan today in Mumbai which essentially is the Logan lacking Renault and Logan badges. Mahindra have added a roof rails and rub rails to distinguish it from the Logan, but that hasn't really worked. The central portion of the radiator grille has been modified to carry the Mahindra emblem and the boot lid gets a dash of chrome, which is very reminiscent of the Toyota Etios.
The Logan has recovered very well after Mahindra took full control last year. There was a downward price revision which worked in boosting sales to over 1,000 units/month from far less than 500 units/month.
Mahindra will launch a sub-4 meter variant along with a cosmetically altered Verito next year. The company has no plans to utilize the Renault platform for other vehicles.
