Lexus will preview its future urban crossover through the presentation of the Lexus LF-NX Concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show next Tuesday. The LF-NX has sharp edges that are magnified by its brushed metal silver livery.
The exterior design is a further evolution of the Lexus L-finesse design interpretation. The front-end is dominated by the Lexus spindle grille and expressive headlights infused with independent daytime lights.
In profile, the LF-NX gets flared wheel arches trimmed with a protective black finish. The belt line is cut sharply and the tailgate is raked quite steeply, lending athleticism to the coupe-like silhouette.
The rear fascia is adorned with articulated stoplight clusters. They create a sharp, aerodynamic trailing edge on to the bumper.
The interior, lit in blue, echoes the bold styling of the LF-NX's sculpted exterior with powerful forms. The dashboard is a two-tier stack that Lexus has used for the past few generations across carlines. The concept gets touch-sensitive electrostatic switches and a new touch pad Remote Touch Interface (RTI) design. The cabin is upholstered in a Sunrise Yellow/Black leather upholstery with contrast stitching.
No details are available on the powertrain except that the concept is powered by a variant of the Lexus Hybrid Drive system calibrated for an SUV.
