The Jeep Compass has received a new grade called ‘Sport Plus'. As its name suggests, it’s based on the entry-level Sport grade.
The Jeep Compass Sport Plus is equipped with additional features over the Jeep Compass Sport. For better styling, it features 16-inch alloy wheels instead of 16-inch steel wheels, and black roof rails. If that’s not enough for differentiation, there’s a Sport Plus badge on the tailgate too. A dual-zone automatic climate control system in place of a manual air conditioning system provides more comfort, while rear parking sensors increase convenience and safety.
Mechanically, the Sport Plus grade is no different compared to the Sport grade. It is available with the same two engines: 1.4-litre MultiAir petrol and 2.0-litre MultiJet II diesel. The turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine produces 163 PS and 250 Nm of torque, while the turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine develops 173 PS and 350 Nm of torque. Like in the Sport grade, a 6-speed manual transmission is standard and there’s no option for the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with the petrol engine.
The Jeep Compass Sport Plus costs INR 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom India) in the petrol engine model and INR 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom India) in the diesel engine model.

The Trailhawk variant will debut the BS-VI compliant 2.0-litre MultiJet II diesel engine and have an automatic transmission, which is unavailable in any of the configurations currently.
