The new Jaguar XE (facelift) that was introduced in February has been confirmed to be launched in India on 4 December 2019. With the facelift, the mid-size luxury car has gained a slew of exterior and interior styling revisions, while the mechanical changes have been restricted to nil, save for the BS-VI emission update. The new cosmetic revisions have been introduced in order to keep the Jaguar XE at par with the segment rivals, at least in terms of appearance and styling.

With the facelift, the Jaguar XE has gained a sharper and more aggressive exterior styling. It now features slimmer LED headlights and tail lights, which are now complemented by remastered bumpers at either ends. On the sides, the newly designed machine-finished alloys give it a more promising look. Furthermore, it also features a slew of design tweaks which take inspiration from the F-Type and the all-electric I-Pace. The overall profile, though, remains unaltered.

Furthermore, equally intriguing changes have been reserved for the interiors. Speaking of which, it now sports a completely new dashboard layout which looks even more sophisticated and modern. Also, it features a digital instrument cluster, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, and an additional touchscreen which is used for climate control and seat function operations. Also, the overall cabin quality has been revamped with the use of higher quality plastics.

As for the mechanicals, no major change will be introduced in the Indian-spec model. The car will employ the earlier seen engines, albeit, in the BS-VI avatar. It currently runs on a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine and a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine. The former produces 250 PS and 365 Nm of torque, while the latter delivers 180 PS and 430 Nm of torque.
