Global rollout this year.
Jaguar showcased the F-Pace at Auto China 2016. The crossover made its debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show and is expected in India this year.
The design of the F-Pace is similar to the C-X17 concept and has a bold and aggressive look. The sleek headlights and tail lights contribute to the sense of style; with the large air intakes, fender vents, tailgate-mounted spoiler and twin exhausts conveying sportiness. The Jaguar F-Pace is based on the iQ platform that has a high level of aluminum, making the crossover light and a nimble handler.
The cabin is endowed with a 10.2-inch tablet-style touchscreen display for the InControl Touch Pro infotainment system as well as a WiFi hotspot that can connect to eight devices at a time.
The crossover not only looks sporty but has F-Type-derived technologies to walk the talk. It features torque vectoring, adaptive dynamics and configurable dynamics, which are found in the sports car. Precise feedback from the road is also ensured by the Electric Power Assisted Steering system.
Under the hood, the F-Pace internationally will come with two petrol and diesel engines. The diesel units, are a 2.0-liter four cylinder producing 180 PS and a 3.0-liter V6 generating 300 PS. The petrol mills are the 2.0-liter four cylinder churning out 240 PS, and a 3.0-liter V6 that is available with two outputs of 340 PS and 380 PS.
The smaller diesel engine has the option of manual and automatic gearbox, whereas other engines can be married only to the automatic transmission. The six-cylinder engines will be available with all-wheel drive as standard.
