In a special and exclusive eve-of-the-motor-show event that was held this evening in Frankfurt, Indian Autos Blog got to see the Jaguar C-X17 concept SUV being unveiled. Jaguar will be presenting this concept at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show tomorrow, however, you do not need to wait until then to see it.
The C-X17 has two interesting highlights. The first is that the design previews the upcoming Jaguar crossover that would enter production late next year or in 2015.
The second highlight is that this concept also previews Jaguar's 'Advanced Modular Aluminium Architecture'. This architecture, which Jaguar says can be used to build a variety of vehicles, would also be used to make the upcoming BMW 3 Series-rivaling sedan.
You may think that Jaguar making an SUV would be counter-productive, as their sister company Land Rover is a specialist in that field. However, core off-road enthusiasts will continue to buy a Land Rover product and the C-X17 would be bought by those who need a crossover for its higher ride height, better visibility and interior space.
