Scores low on child safety.
The Hyundai Creta has scored 4/5 stars in the Latin NCAP crash test. The tested model was an LHD version with dual front airbags and weighed 1,496 kg when prepped for the crash test. It was made in India specifically for the Latin American market. The test agency did not perform the Side Impact Test (UNECE95), and has concluded that the Body Shell Integrity of the Creta is 'Stable'.
The model was equipped with front seatbelt pretensioners & load limiters, dual front airbags, ABS, SBR (for driver), and ISOFIX mounts. The car has scored 15.57 out of 17 (four/five stars) for adult-occupant safety and 29.87 out of 49 (three/five stars) for child-occupant safety.
Latin NCAP says that in the frontal impact test, the front airbags protected the driver and passenger heads well, their chests received adequate protection, and their knee areas did not show high risk structures. The agency says that the body-shell of the Hyundai Creta was capable of withstanding further loading.

Regarding child safety, they say that the child seat for a 3 year old was able to refrain from excessive forward movement during the frontal impact, the dynamic performance of the 18 months child restraint was good, some of the belted Child Restraint Systems (child seats) could not pass installation tests, the vehicle provisions and assessment scored low as three point seat belts are not provided in all seating positions, and ISOFIX anchorages were absent. The car did not meet a Latin NCAP requirement as there was no warning marking for installing a CRS in the front passenger seat.
