GM Thailand is showcasing the Chevrolet Spin MPV at the 2015 Bangkok Motor Show. The 7-seater MPV will also be brought to the Indian market, with a launch taking place next year.
The front-end features a recognizable dual front grille, large headlamps, and a body-colored bumper with fog lamps. The rear comes with a pair of wrap-around tail-lamps and a large hatch for boot access. It is also fitted with rood rails for extra practicality. Inside, 2+3+2 MPV has a simple interior with standard equipment like a music system compatible with USB, AUX-in, Bluetooth and optional satellite navigation.
The Chevrolet Spin MPV measures 4.36 meters in length, 1.73 meters in width, 1.68 meters in height and has a ground clearance of 191 mm. It has a wheelbase spanning 2.52 meters and weighs 1,277 kg.
The Spin is powered by a 1,485 cc four-cylinder petrol engine producing 107 hp at 6,000 rpm and 142 Nm of torque at 3,800 rpm mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The MPV comes with safety features like driver and front passenger airbags, ABS, engine immobilizer.
The family van, which is completing two years on the Thai market in 2015, is priced from 762,000 THB (INR 14.14 lakhs). Its main rivals are the Suzuki Ertiga and Honda Mobilio.
