As one of the biggest motor shows in the Southeast Asian region, the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS), that runs between 18-28 September, will see participation from as many as 29 passenger vehicle brands from across the globe along with 7 commercial vehicle brands this year.
Here are the important cars gracing IIMS 2014. The list will be updated as and when new information flows in. Note that not all manufacturers have confirmed their debuts.
Alfa Romeo
Alfa Romeo will have the new Giulietta on view at the show. The 2014 model was launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year.
Audi
The Audi S3 Saloon 2.0 FSI Quattro is reported by Indonesian media as launching at the show. Paired to a six-speed transmission, the engine produces a power output of 295 bhp with a peak torque of 380 Nm.
BMW
BMW will showcase the i8 supercar at the show. Reports also state that the X4 SUV will be brought to IIMS. In all, the BMW stall will be decked with 14 cars.
Chevrolet
The Chevrolet Cruze Sport6 (Cruze Hatchback) is reportedly launching at the IIMS 2014. The car could be available in LT and LTZ trims.
Daihatsu
Daihatsu is expected to stage the global premiere of the Daihatsu UFC 3 concept, which is the next iteration of the UFC 2 concept, previewing the next gen Xenia.
The production version of the Copen, launched a few weeks ago in Japan, is expected to premiere at the show, and the AylaGT2 will also premiere at the event. Special editions Luxio Sloper, Xenia Indigo, Terios Spirit, Sirion Dres Up and Gran Max Karavan will be on view.
Datsun
Datsun is reportedly showcasing the redi-Go concept which world premiered at the 2014 Auto Expo.
Ducati
Ducati will showcase the Monster 1200, the new Diavel and the 1199 Superleggera.
Honda
Honda looks set to be the biggest exhibitor this year with 33 models in its stall. While the company hasn't revealed names, the eagerly awaited Honda HR-V (JDM Vezel) will certainly be making its world debut with the international nameplate. The Civic facelift could launch at the show.
Infiniti
As per reports Infiniti will showcase at the Infiniti Q50 in turbocharged and hybrid variants. The turbocharged variant is powered by a 2.0L four-cylinder engine paired to a seven-speed transmission. The hybrid variant meanwhile uses a 3.5 liter six-cylinder with a lithium battery-powered motor, which combined, produce 350 hp output.
Jeep
The Chrysler owned SUV brand would be showcasing its baby crossover, the Jeep Renegade.
Mazda
Mazda will conduct the ASEAN premiere of the Mazda2 at IIMS 2014. The entry-level hatchback which measures 4.07 m long will hit global markets in the following months. Tagging along is the new Mazda Biante Skyactiv Special Edition.
Mercedes
The new generation Mercedes C Class is one of the significant cars on the luxury end of the market to be in attendance at IIMS 2014. The GLA crossover could also debut at the show.
Mitsubishi
Mitsubishi will showcase 14 vehicles at the event. The Mitsubishi AR Concept and the Mitsubishi Delica MPV have been confirmed as two of the attendees.
Nissan
The new Nissan X-Trail which will be pitted against the likes of the Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport will make its local debut at the IIMS alongside the new Nissan Elgrand VIP that has luxurious two-row seating. The Nissan Navara Pickup could also be there.
Renault
Renault has confirmed two debuts for this year's show. The AWD variant of the Renault Duster and a new crossover (sketch of the Renault Captur was shown during the announcement) will be launched.
Subaru
Subaru will conduct the Indonesian premiere of the Subaru WRX sedan. The top-end Subaru XV STi variant which was recently launched in Malaysia is also expected to attend.
Suzuki
After a hugely successful start in India, the Suzuki Celerio will greet the Indonesians at IIMS. The Suzuki Hustler (Kei SUV) and Wagon R Stingray are also among 18 cars that will be on display. Also of key interest will be the SX4 S-Cross which is confirmed to attend the show.
Tata Motors
Tata would be showcasing the Zest and Bolt alongside the Nexon compact crossover concept. The company is also reported to world premiere the Vista AT and the Aria AT. The commercial vehicle division will be present at the show with the Tata Xenon CNG and Prima trucks (Tata Prima 4023 & Tata Prima 4028).
Toyota
As per local media reports, Toyota will either launch or showcase the new Toyota RAV4 at the event. Besides the SUV, the FCV, FV2 from the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, and the FT-1 sportscar concept from NAIAS 2014 will make their Indonesian premieres.
