Hyundai Venue to go up for pre-orders on 2 May - Report

The Hyundai Venue will celebrate its market premiere in India on 21 May. Its pre-bookings will be officially commenced on 2 May, as per a new report from Autocar India.

Early birds will be able to pre-book their Venue directly from Hyundai (online) and even through one of its dealerships. Those reserving online will be delivered their unit by their nearest dealership, as was the case with the latest Santro.

Hyundai will offer the Venue in India with three engines: 1.0L T-GDI, 1.2L MPI and 1.4L CRDi. Below are the specifications of these engine models:

  • Venue 1.0L T-GDI - 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine (120 PS/172 Nm), 6-speed MT/7-speed DCT, FWD
  • Venue 1.2L MPI - 1.2-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine (83 PS/115 Nm), 5-speed MT, FWD
  • Venue 1.4L CRDi - 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine (90 PS/220 Nm), 6-speed MT, FWD

Two-tier headlamps, electric sunroof, wireless charger, Arkamys sound system, air purifier, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and Hyundai BlueLink suite of 33 connectivity features are some of the highlights of the Hyundai Venue. Grades and the equipment included in them are yet to be revealed.

The Hyundai Venue is expected to retail in a price bracket of INR 8-12 Lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and the Mahindra XUV300 in our market.
