Hyundai India has launched the Hyundai Santro Xing Celebration Edition today. This celebration edition commemorates 15 years of Hyundai's presence in India. As a result, Hyundai is giving their first ever Indian offering, the Santro (which is also responsible for Hyundai's Number 2 position in India currently), a few added features.
On the outside you get body graphics, rear chrome garnish and a set of parking sensors (which house an LED display inside). A manual rear sun blind, new set of floor mats and a Blaupunkt stereo system are the new features on the inside. Hyundai is also offering the Santro Xing at a finance rate of 7.44%.
The celebration edition Santro Xing is available only in the GL Plus model. The choice of colors are limited to Coral White, Sleek Silver and Mushroom but you can have it in petrol and LPG powertrain options. The price for the celebration edition Xing is INR 3.81 lakhs (ex-Showroom, New Delhi).
The Hyundai i10, which was launched in India in 2007, was the next generation Santro/Atos in other international markets, but Hyundai India continues to sell both generations alongside.
On September 3, Hyundai India will launch the Grand i10 which is essentially the next generation i10 (for other international markets), but the company has already announced that the current i10 will sell alongside. If the Santro is not discontinued, Hyundai India will be selling three generations simultaneously!
