Hyundai has launched special editions of Hyundai i10 and Hyundai i20 in Netherlands called the Black Pack edition.
The Hyundai i10 has been a popular small hatchback in that part of the world and Hyundai's Chennai factory is the only place on earth where the car is being built. The i10 Black Pack edition comes with a piano black roof irrespective of its body color, adding sense to its name.
Apart from the black roof, the body colored strip in the hexagonal front grill has been blackened out and that improves the cars look by a notch. Based on the Blue i-Drive Cool variant, the Hyundai i10 Black Pack edition is available with the 1.0 litre petrol engine which puts out 69 bhp.
The variant specific features like the wing mirror mounted indicators, power windows at front and rear, heated ORVMs, and keyless entry are retained. The Hyundai i10 Black Pack is priced at €9,995 (around Rs. 7.14 lakhs).
As we mentioned, Chennai is the only home for the i10 meaning that the Black Pack edition of the car is built here. Given the fact the hatchback's sales is dipping into 4 digit numbers in the recent months, Hyundai could attempt a similar special edition for India before the all-new i10 (code - BA) is ready towards the end of the year.
The Dutch can also get their hands on the Hyundai i20 Black Pack edition which, just like the i10 Black Pack, sports a black roof. The car is available with the 1.2 liter petrol engine which pumps out 95 bhp and is based on the i-Motion variant. It carries a price tag of €14,795 (around Rs. 10.57).
