Honda WR-V registers sales of 3,833 units in its first month

Company registered a growth of 8.7 percent last month.

Honda Cars India has revealed in their sales update that the newest entrant to the portfolio - Honda WR-V - has registered encouraging sales with 3,833 units leaving to dealership lots in its first month on the market.

Speaking about Honda's sales in March, Mr. Yoichiro Ueno, President and CEO of Honda Cars India Ltd said:

Strong sales momentum for our latest offerings in the market, New Honda City 2017 and Honda WR-V, helped us achieve good sales result during March 2017. We are thankful to our customers for their support to Honda. As we enter into the new fiscal year, we are confident of a strong show in 2017-18 with a robust product-portfolio and good demand from the market.

Available in 1.2 petrol and 1.5 diesel variants spread across two well-equipped grades, the prices of the WR-V range between INR 7.75 Lakhs – INR 9.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). It rivals the Hyundai i20 Active, VW Cross Polo and Fiat Urban Cross, as well as sub-4m SUVs like the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra TUV300, and the upcoming Tata Nexon.

It measures 3999 mm in length, 1734 mm in width, 1601 mm in height, has a wheelbase of 2555 mm and ground clearance of 188 mm. Highlights of the WR-V's feature list include 16-inch dual tone alloy rims, 7-inch DIGIPAD infotainment system, automatic climate control, start/stop button and a segment-first sunroof.
