Early units are being dispatched to dealerships.
Reports suggest that the Honda WR-V will launch in India on March 16, although Honda Cars India is yet to confirm a date. The WR-V is Honda's newest crossover to join the lineup, which will rival hatchback-based crossovers like the Hyundai i20 Active and sub-4m SUVs like the Maruti Vitara Brezza.
The WR-V, or ‘Winsome Runabout-Vehicle’, has a slightly bolder and more unique styling to distance itself from the Honda Jazz (the hatchback it is based on). It features the usual crossover elements like higher ground clearance, robust body cladding, larger rims, bolder grille garnished with chrome and roof rails. A couple of India-spec Honda WR-V units were spied en route to dealerships, offering a first look at the Indian version.
The interior adopts an all black layout contrasted by silver trim on the dashboard as well as the door cards. The model spied featured Honda’s new 7-inch DIGIPAD infotainment system, which debuted in the 2017 Honda City (facelift), touch-sensitive automatic climate control and the circular MID in the instrument cluster.

Engine options are likely to be a 1.2L i-VTEC petrol engine and 1.5L i-DTEC turbo diesel engine. The petrol variant will come equipped with a 5-speed manual or CVT, while the diesel WR-V only gets a 6-speed manual gearbox.
