Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has showcased the Honda PCX Electric Concept for the first time in India, at the 2018 Auto Expo in Greater Noida. Here are the scooter’s live images from the show.
The Honda PCX Electric Concept is Honda’s latest initiative in the field of electric vehicles. The brand showcased the concept at the 2018 CES in Las Vegas. The electric scooter is equipped with a high output motor which Honda has developed independently. Aiming for a more harmonious mobility option PCX EV comes with removable lithium ion batteries based Honda Mobile Power Pack which can be charged separately or inside the scooter. The Power pack is swappable too, allowing the user to recharge quickly. The scooter is planned for Asia-wide release, including Japan, this year. Honda is unlikely to launch this scooter in our country, at least for a foreseeable future.
Cycle parts of the PCX Electric include disc brake at the front and a drum unit at the rear. For suspension, the scooter employs telescopic front forks, and twin rear shock absorbers. The instrument cluster is all-digital; and the switchgear features hazard light function and engine kill switch as well.
