Honda launched the second generation Amaze in May last year, and within a span of just 13 months, it has sold over 1 lakh units. The company says that Amaze is the fastest selling model in its line-up to have achieved this feat. It is celebrating this milestone with the launch of the Amaze Ace Edition, priced at INR 7.89 lakh*.
The Amaze Ace Edition is based on the top-of-the-line VX trim of the Amaze. Its price starts at INR 7.89* lakh for the base petrol-MT configuration and extends up to INR 9.72 lakh* for the diesel-CVT configuration. Compared to the regular Amaze, the special edition Amaze has only cosmetic differences. It features black-finished alloy wheels, boot-lid-mounted spoiler, window visors, door edge garnish and black door visor. There's also Ace Edition badging on the boot lid. The Amaze Ace edition is available in a choice of three colours – Radiant Red, Lunar Silver and White Orchid Pearl.
On the inside, it gets new black seat covers with the Ace Edition branding and its cabin bottom is decorated with footwell lighting. Under the hood, the celebratory edition comes powered with the 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol and 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engines. The former produces 90 PS at 6,000 rpm and 110 Nm at 4,800 rpm in both 5-speed MT and CVT options. The latter delivers 100 PS at 3,600 rpm and 200 Nm at 1,750 rpm with the MT, and 80 PS at 3,600 rpm and 160 Nm at 1,750 rpm with the CVT.
