Is Honda India's first diesel hatchback.
Honda Cars India confirmed to Indian Autos Blog that official bookings for the 2015 Honda Jazz will commence at around the 20th of June. The brand has also confirmed the national launch for July 8, 2015.
The B+ hatch is likely to come with the same 1.2-liter i-VTEC and 1.5-liter i-DTEC engines from the Amaze and City. A teaser clip confirmed the CVT option (for the petrol), and the manual gearbox could either be a 5-speed or a 6-speed unit. On the Amaze the diesel engine delivers 100 PS and 200 Nm, and with the same specification, the mileage of the Jazz can also be above 25 km/l. As for the petrol, the engine is configured to produce 88 PS and 109 Nm on the Brio, and this is the ballpark figure for the Jazz.
The Jazz features an interior that is familiar to those acquainted with the Honda City. The top-end variant's black and beige cabin comes equipped with an AVN (Audio Visual Navigation) 15.7 cm touch system, a touch panel for the automatic climate control, and a leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob.
Spyshots show the fully decked model sporting foglamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, rear windshield wiper and washer, rear spoiler, and electrically adjustable side mirrors with embedded turn signals and folding feature.
Localization level on the Jazz has increased to a feasible 90 percent, so as to ensure a competitive price. Complete specifications and review of the car will be published on June 13.
