Honda Cars India have introduced a mild update for their flagship offering, the CR-V. No, this is not the CR-V facelift which is being rolled out in international markets with a redesigned grille and LED daytime running lights.
Based on dealer-level sources, and Honda Cars India's website, the update is only for the top-end CR-V 2.4-liter AT which comes with AWD as standard. The SUV is now given a Smart Entry system with a request button on the front door handle, and a City-like engine starter button.
The infotainment system is a new 7-inch touchscreen unit with a 6-speaker audio system. It gets Siri eyes-free voice-recognition, HDMI video compatibility and Bluetooth compatibility, but misses out on navigation. The updated CR-V also gets a tonneau cover as standard.
The CR-V 2.4-liter AT is now priced at INR 25.09 lakhs, ex-Showroom, New Delhi. There are no changes to its mechanicals and it continues to be powered by the 2.4-liter four-cylinder i-VTEC engine which is capable of 190 PS and and 226 Nm of torque, matched to a 5-speed automatic transmission with 4WD.
