The all-black interior is available on the top-end variant.
Honda Cars India today announced that dual front airbags and rear ISOFIX & top-tether anchor for child seats will be part of the standard equipment on all variants of the Honda City. The car maker also launched a new Honda City VX (O) BL grade with all-black interiors.
The VX (O) BL grade is positioned alongside the VX (O) grade. Where the latter offers beige leather seats, the former gets an all-black dashboard with black leather seats. The VX (O) BL will be offered in petrol (only with a manual gearbox) and diesel variants in 'Premium White Orchid Pearl' and 'Alabaster Silver' shades.
Honda Cars India said in a statement that the VX (O) BL grade was envisioned "in response to the younger customer’s voice". Since its launch in January 2014, the fourth-generation Honda City has found over 160,000 buyers in India. The mid-size sedan is available with a 1.5-liter i-VTEC petrol engine or a 1.5-liter i-DTEC diesel engine, with the latter getting a 6-speed manual gearbox.
