Syakar Trading Company (STC), the sole distributor for Honda motorcycles and scooters in Nepal, has showcased the Honda CBR 600RR Repsol and the Honda XR 150L at the 2015 NADA Auto Show. These models were recently launched there.
Honda CBR 600RR Repsol
The Honda RC213V-inspired CBR 600RR is powered by a 599 cc liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder engine with DOHC, that dishes out approximately 100 hp maximum power and 61 Nm peak torque, mated to a close-ratio 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle weighs 186 kg.
Salient features of the super sport model include 12-spoke cast aluminum wheels, 120/70ZR-17 front radial tyre, 180/55ZR-17 radial tyre at the rear, monoblock front-brake calipers, electronically controlled C-ABS, line-beam headlights, nose-mounted two-stage ram air system, Upside Down front fork, Honda’s Unit-Pro Link Suspension, Honda Electronic Steering Damper (the world’s first electronically controlled steering damper) and Honda’s Dual-Stage Fuel-Injection system.
The price of the Honda CBR 600RR Repsol at the Wing World Showroom in Kathmandu is NPR 22 lakhs.
Honda XR 150L
The Honda XR 150L is a dual sport motorcycle that is built on a tough, semi-double-cradle steel tube chassis that houses a 149.2 cc single-cylinder air-cooled carbureted engine. The motor develops 12.5 Nm peak torque at 6,000 rpm and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The front tyre is a 90/90-19 and the rear is a 110/90-17. The bike is suspended by a telescopic fork upfront and a monoshock unit at the rear. Stopping power is provided by a 240 mm disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear. The semi-off-roader features kick and electric start, and a 12-litre fuel tank.
The price of the Honda XR 150L in Nepal is NPR 4,70,000. It is available in two colours, red and black.
