Powered by a new 160 cc engine.
The Honda CB Unicorn 160, a make-or-break model for the manufacturer in the competitive 150-160 cc segment, will be launched on December 18.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has announced that it will have a new announcement to make on the aforementioned date and Indian Autos Blog can confirm that it is indeed the launch of the motorcycle which has been spied recently. Following the national launch, the bike will introduced in a phased fashion across the country, including smaller towns and cities, in the coming weeks.
Adopting a fresh design, the CB Unicorn 160 is expected to take the baton from the CB Trigger which, despite being a decent all-rounder, failed to take the game towards the Yamaha FZ series. From previous spyshots, it's clear that the new 160 cc Honda gets a sharp bikini fairing, plastic cladded fuel tank, a fully digital instrument console, a long seat and a 'X' shaped taillight.
The vehicle is suspended by a telescopic fork upfront and mono-suspension at the rear. The front disc is standard while a rear disc is expected to be offered as an option.

The powertrain specifications of the motorcycle still remains under the wraps, but we expect the 160 cc mill, to be a carburated unit, and coax out close to 16 bhp.
More details of the motorcycle should be available closer to the launch.
