Gets a 5-speed gearbox.
The Honda CB Shine SP has gone on sale for INR 59,990 (self-drum-alloy), INR 62,400 (self-disc-alloy) and INR 64,400 for the CBS variant, ex-Showroom, New Delhi.
The product brochure of the Honda CB Shine SP has been leaked ahead of the bike's launch. The pamphlet reveals the technical specifications of the new commuter motorcycle.
The Shine SP is powered by the same engine that does duty on the existing Honda CB Shine. It is a 124.73 cc air-cooled single-cylinder carbureted engine that produces 10.57 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 10.30 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The new Shine SP gets a 5-speed transmission instead of the 4-speed gearbox used on the regular CB Shine.
The front suspension features a standard telescopic fork and the rear suspension gets two spring loaded hydraulic type shock absorbers. The motorcycle wears 18-inch black alloy wheels with five twin spokes, with 80/100-18 tubeless tyres at the front and the rear. Drum brakes are provided as standard, with the option of disc brake only for the front.
The head lamp and the battery used are the same as those in the old Shine - 12V 35/35W halogen bulb and 12V 3Ah (Maintenance Free) battery. The Shine SP will be offered in five colours - red, blue, white, grey and black.
