Hours from now Honda will launch the much awaited Brio mini car in Thailand. Displayed on two previous occasions as concept models, it will finally be shown in its production form to members of the Thai media. Indian Autos Blog readers had a glimpse through an earlier post featuring spyshots captured during trial runs on a Thai expressway.
The engine bay of the Brio will house the bigger brother Jazz' 1.2-liter petrol engine. A 900cc 3-cylinder engine is also on the anvil for the Indian market next year in the event of sagging sales. Like the Nissan Micra, this Thai Eco Car will come in both manual and automatic transmissions.
If Honda has to create magic with the Brio in our country, services of a highly fuel-efficient diesel engine is needed.
