The Hero Xtreme 200S has reached Colombia as the Hero Thriller 200S. There, it was displayed at the recently concluded Feria 2 Ruedas motor show. The Hero Xtreme 200R is sold as the Hero Thriller 200R in the country.

Like the Hero Xtreme 200S, the Hero Thriller 200S is available in only the carburettor version. In India, the sports model retails at INR 98,500 (ex-showroom Delhi). We expect to see the addition of fuel injection technology, along with other essential components to make it BS-VI ready in 2020.
The Hero Thriller 200S shares its underpinnings and engine with the Hero Thriller 200R naked roadster. Mechanical specifications include a 199.6 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, 2-valve, SOHC engine that makes 18.4 PS of maximum power at 8,000 rpm and 17.1 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. The motor is paired with a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox.
The fully faired design with a tall windscreen offers better protection from the windblasts. The ergonomics remain identical to that of the Thriller 200R. Clubbed with the full fairing design, the Thriller 200S should offer better-touring comfort. Apart from the full fairing, the Thriller 200S benefits from more features such as full-LED headlight and a Bluetooth-enabled digital instrument console with turn-by-turn navigation, an essential feature for touring vehicles. On the sides, the sports model is differentiated from the naked roadster with a differently designed exhaust.
Conventional telescopic forks at the front and a 7-step adjustable monoshock at the rear perform the shock absorption tasks on the Thriller 200S, just like on the Thriller 200R. Similarly, a disc at the front and at the back provide the stopping power and the safety net includes single-channel ABS.
