Indian Autos Blog has received word from Hero Motocorp, the world's largest two-wheeler maker, via email, that it will launch two products before the end of this fiscal year (before 31 March, 2014).
The Splendor Pro Classic gets Cafe Racer like styling details, but retains the commuter bike's mechanicals and underpinnings. Hero calls it India's first ever 100 cc Cafe Racer, as power comes from the same 97.2 cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine powering the Splendor Pro. This engine is capable of producing 7.7 bhp at 7,000 rpm and 8.04 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm and comes paired to a 4-speed gearbox.
The Passion Pro TR is based on the Passion Pro, but gets a few added features to appeal to the adventurous set of customers. These features come in the form of on-off road tyres, cross bace equipped handlebars which are claimed to be more sturdy, a high positioned front fender, headlight grille, hand guards, bash plate and fuel tank pads.
Hero will launch the Passion Pro TR with new colors and body graphics as well. Power for this motorcycle comes from the same engine seen on the Splendor Pro Classic.
