Erstwhile joint venture partners Hero Motocorp and Honda TwoWheelers are now going tooth and nail in Nepal, with Honda launching the CB Trigger and Hero the Splendor iSmart.
Honda CB Trigger
Honda has launched its 150 cc Trigger for the Nepali market. The bike is priced at Nepali Rupee 219,900 (INR 1.37 lakh).
Syakar Trading Company (STC), the authorized distributor of Honda two-wheelers for Nepal, says that Honda holds 20 percent of the 150 cc segment in Nepal.
In India, the bike replaced the Unicorn Dazzler. The CB Trigger comes with the same 150cc mill as the Dazzler that generates 14bhp and 12.5 Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox that shifts in 1-down 4-up pattern.
Honda claims that the bike delivers a best-in-class mileage of 60 kmpl. The styling elements include a 3D Honda logo and side cowls. The bike also gets alloy wheels and a digital instrument panel, along with LED taillights.
