The Hero Karizma café racer gets a new circular headlamp, handlebar and a brown leather wrapped seat. The handlebar too gets leather wraps of the same material. The circular headlamp along with bar-end mirrors add a classic touch.

The fuel tank is a heavily reshaped unit while a new LED taillamp finishes the short tail end. The rear seat cowl of the Hero Karizma café racer (Hero Honda Karizma R back then) is detachable to reveal the pillion seat. The heat wrap on the exhaust pipe adds a rugged look while the canister is new. The tyres are chunkier, and the alloy wheels have been replaced with spokes.

The 223 cc air-cooled, single cylinder mill in the recently terminated Hero Karizma was coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. The carburetted engine was capable of 19.2 bhp of maximum power at 7,500 rpm and 19.35 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm.

The Hero Karizma is one of the best tourers in the segment. While low sales have plagued the Karizma brand, and Hero even discontinued the Karizma recently, the company is said to be working on a new version of the motorcycle.
