200 cc variant to launch next year, reportedly.
Reports of the Hero Impulse's re-launch has been doing the rounds for over two years now. In a latest report from MotorOctane, the off-road motorcycle is reported to come with a 200 cc or a 250 cc engine.
The report puts a timeline to the Impulse 250's launch towards this year-end, while the Impulse 200 is expected sometime next year. Further, the larger 250 cc variant of the Impulse is reported to get an option of two driving modes (City and Sport).
The engine will be a fuel-injected unit with a power output in the whereabouts of 31 bhp. It is likely to be the same unit that will be seen on the Hero HX250. Given the power on tap, Hero will be equipping this variant with its C-ABS (Combi ABS) system.
Aside from the domestic market, the new Hero Impulse would also target the brand's export markets in South and Latin America and Africa. Hero is currently exporting to around 30 countries, but plans on increasing this to 50 by 2020.
