Will be unveiled later this year.
The upcoming BMW 3-Series rival from Hyundai's luxury sub-brand, Genesis, was spied testing in the Middle East by CarAdvice's Paul Maric. The Genesis G70 is expected to be unveiled and launched in key markets later this year.
Previewed by the Genesis New York Concept at the 2016 New York International Auto Show, the design is based on Genesis' ‘Athletic Elegance’ direction. One of the models features larger alloy wheels, sportier bumpers enclosing dual exhaust pipes and red brake callipers, suggesting that it is a sportier variant (Genesis G70 N?). The car is claimed to be shorter, narrower and lighter than the Kia Stinger.
The interior has also been snapped from afar, revealing the dashboard and floating infotainment system. The centre console looks clean, featuring a vertical arrangement of buttons for the infotainment functions and 3 large dials likely to be for the automatic climate control. Both test mules also feature a panoramic glass roof.

The Genesis G70 is based on the Kia Stinger's RWD platform and could source the latter's engine lineup which includes a 2.0-litre turbo petrol, 3.3-litre V6 biturbo petrol and 2.2-litre turbo diesel. In the Stinger, all engines are paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
