Is 290 mm longer than the Genesis EQ900.
Genesis, Hyundai Motor's new luxury brand, has introduced a stretched version of its first car Genesis EQ900 (Genesis G90) - Genesis EQ900L. Targeting the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, the Genesis EQ900 measures 5,495 mm in length, 1,915 mm in width and 1,505 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 3,450 mm. While the width is same as that of the EQ900, the length, height and wheelbase have been increased by 290 mm, 10 mm and 290 mm respectively for making the cabin more spacious and luxurious.
While the EQ900 is available with three engines: 315 PS (311 hp) 3.8-litre naturally aspirated V6 petrol, 370 PS (365 hp) 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol and 425 PS 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V8 petrol, the EQ900L will be available exclusively with the 425 PS (419 hp) 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V8 petrol engine. AWD is standard.
Equipment-wise, the long-wheelbase variant features two reclining, semi-aniline leather individual seats with extendable footrests, wood veneers, map pockets and built-in mood lamp in the extended B-pillar and a full-length centre console.
The Genesis EQ900L should be launched as the Genesis G90L in North America later this year as a notably more affordable alternative to the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class which is currently on sale in international markets in two models.
