Ford Figo, Ford EcoSport and Ford Endeavour get cheaper with GST in effect.
Passing the benefits of GST to customers, Ford has reduced prices of its vehicles in India by up to 4.5%. The price reduction varies from state to state.
Ford's price reductions are higher in Mumbai than the national capital. For instance, the Ford Figo has received a price cut of just INR 2,000 in Delhi, but in Mumbai, the figure lies around INR 28,000. Likewise, the Ford Endeavour costs INR 1.5 lakh less now in Delhi, whereas in Mumbai, the Toyota Fortuner rival has seen a price cut of almost INR 3 lakh.
The Ford EcoSport, which is expected to receive a facelift around Diwali, is cheaper by INR 8,000 in Delhi now.
The Ford Mustang was priced at INR 66.30 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) as of July 2, 2017, and today, Ford's website shows the price hiked to INR 69.00 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), suggesting a price hike of INR 2.7 lakh. The first-ever series production right-hand drive Mustang launched in India in July last year for a price of INR 65 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
