Will get a facelifted front fascia and new equipment.

Car Advice has acquired spy shots of a Ford Everest (Ford Endeavour in India) that has its front-end wrapped up, suggesting that the mid-cycle facelift has started tests. The reenergized SUV could rollout in APAC and Africa, including India, next year.

The facelifted Everest could start rolling out across APAC and Africa, including India, next year. The SUV was launched in March 2015.

The test mule only has the front-end covered up, hinting that a majority of the changes will be made to the fenders and plastics to give it a wider stance and more robust look. It’s quite hard to tell what has exactly has changed, but it seems that the facelifted Everest will borrow cues from the Ford F-150 pickup truck. The Australian version could get an updated ACC (adaptive cruise control) with autonomous emergency braking, as seen in the new radar/LIDAR module in the front bumper and stereo cameras mounted in front of the IRVM.

It could also feature unlock request buttons on the door handles and start/stop button for keyless entry, given that most of its rivals have the feature. Car Advice also reports that Ford could tune the powertrain for better refinement and fuel economy. Electrification may not be an option in the current generation.
