The Ford EcoSport range will soon be updated in India, and the revised prices will be announced later this month. The new range will include a new Thunder Edition.
With the upcoming update, Ford will omit some features from the existing EcoSport range to keep the costs under check and stage the SUV more aggressively against the segment competition.
The most prominent update will be the launch of the new Thunder Edition as a replacement to the Titanium Signature edition. The Thunder Edition variant will be available with the 9.0-inch FlyAudio touchscreen infotainment system, dual-tone leather interior with contrast stitching, rear spare wheel cover (black), sunroof, new-look alloy wheels, contrast black roof and black decals on the hood. It will employ either a 1.5-litre petrol engine or a 1.5-litre diesel engine, paired with a manual transmission.
Ford will remove a number of features from the Titanium+ grade, and as a result, this grade's prices will see a drop of around INR 45,000-50,000. Cruise control, leather seats and SYNC 3 infotainment system will be removed from its list. The interior theme will be changed from black to beige. In place of the 8.0-inch SYNC 3 touchscreen infotainment system, there will be the 9.0-inch FlyAudio touchscreen infotainment system. Sunroof and new side decals will also be included in this grade now. The engine choices will remain the same. The "S" optional pack for available on the Titanium+ grade could be replaced with a more value-for-money optional pack or a new grade.
The Titanium grade will see the omission of a sunglass holder and a centre armrest for the rear passengers. Also, the interior theme will be changed from black to beige.
