The Force One SUV manged to clock only half the estimated sales figures but it gave enough confidence to the Pune based auto maker to introduce more variants.
We earlier reported that the Force Motors is planning to add two more variants of the Force One, a low cost variant and a top of the line variant. We were the first to bring you the spyshots of the low cost variant as well as the high end variant a few months back!
Oncars.in managed to snap up the bare bones variant which was doing test runs without any camouflage. As far as the looks are concerned, the base One looses all the shiny chrome bits on its front fascia. The grill, bumper, ORVMs and wheel arches are finished in black unlike the current variant's body colored units.
We also find the roof rails, alloy wheels, fog lamps, daytime running lights and twin tailpipes missing. The cost cutting is not limited to the cosmetic elements alone.
Oncar.in reports that the entry level Force One variant sheds its 141PS 2.2 litre FM-Tech diesel engine for the 2.2 litre common rail diesel motor which is borrowed from the Traveller. The motor produces 129PS and 300Nm of torque.
The present starting price of the Force One stands at Rs. 11.70 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) and the new variant is expected to be priced under Rs. 10 lakhs.
