Our regular readers know that Force Motors is preparing for a full fledged plunge into the personal car market with two new variants of the Force One SUV apart from bringing in a premium MPV based on the Mercedes Viano and renewing the Force Gurkha off roader.

’4X4′ badges were in place on the luggage door and the front right fender

The Force One was the first attempt at the premium passenger vehicle market by the Pune based automobile manufacturer who is known for its Traveller and Trax range of people carriers. On its first year, the SUV managed to clock 2,000 units against a target of 4,000.

Nevertheless, the sales have given the company enough confidence to step into the second year with two more variants of the car. One of those variants will be a bare bones low cost version while the other will be more upmarket that the current version.

The car proclaims its inner mechanicals through the badges on the front fender and the tail gate. Except that there are absolutely no visual changes on the Force One 4×4 version.

The Force One is powered by a Mercedes sourced 2.2 litre FM Tech diesel engine which produces 141PS and 321 Nm of torque. The engine is expected to continue in the same state of tune under the hood of the 4×4 version.

The year 2013 is going to be an eventful year for Force Motors as the company has planned an investment of around Rs. 1000 crore in a bid to become a mainstream car manufacturer.

This SUV have rugged looks. But the thing engine Force Motors is just neglecting imp aspects like ABS,EBD,AIRBAGS. ehich obvious any one would expect in 10lacs car.

Even 6-8 lacs sedan has all there features.
It would be hit if they come with all safety features and BS4 compliant engine.

force one suv maker’s are really idiots , you just cannot launch suv in market that is more than 10 lakhs without basic safety features like airbags & ABS. As a smart buyer if i am investing 10+ lakhs i will definately think of safety and if not, i would pity on my knowledge and wisdom. This 2 things have adversely affected their sales to educated middleclass. what are you trying to prove by that mercedes engine – i can cruise at speeds over 120 – 140 km/hr to end with accidents sometimes even costing with my life, if you are providing such a beautiful monster engine then it is crime if you are not providing ABS and airbags. Also , they must work on their customer service and support department. I personally want to buy this Force one monster (suv) ,if its variant comes with ABS & airbags upto early 2014 , else i go with mahindra XUV 500.
