It shouldn’t come to you as a surprise that Hyundai is in the process of giving the i20 a complete facelift. Since the time the Korean automaker has adopted the new Fluidic Sculpture design language, every car in its portfolio is going under the scalpel. The next to get a loads of flowy lines is the new i20.
The Hyundai i20 facelift has been caught on test on several occasion. But a new set of spyhots reveal that the i20 will get a new alloy design along with a new front fascia. So say goodbye to the old 5 spoke design and say Hola! to an 8 spoke sporty design.
The new alloys will add much needed breath of fresh air into the new design of the Fluidic i20.
Remember, this is only a facelift so don’t expect the mechanical components to change one bit. We hope Hyundai has revisited the car's suspension setup and has thought about using the Verna's 1.6 CRDI. Rumors are abuzz that this facelifted i20 will be showcased at Geneva Motorshow in the first week of March.
Our regular readers know we have also shared some information on the all-new i20 (codenamed 'IB') that is in the works for 2014-15.
