Production will be strictly limited.
Ferrari is currently prepping a hardcore version of the already-powerful Ferrari F12berlinetta. Although the Internet has christened it the "F12 GTO", it's less likely that Ferrari will follow suit.
Exterior-wise, the F12 will feature aero-upgrades for better downforce and smoother air-flow at high speeds, and a more-aggressive styling. As with track-focused versions of standard cars, expect a sizable weight reduction of over 100 kg. With Ferrari looking to reduce weight, the interior could be stripped of most creature comforts.
The F12 will continue to source power from the naturally aspirated 6.3-liter V12 engine, but with the power bumped from 740 hp to around 800 hp. Rumor has it that the bump in power could come from a LaFerrari-inspired HY-KERS system. It will be paired to a 7-speed F1 DCT gearbox that drives the rear wheels.
It's unclear as to where the hardcore F12berlinetta will make its debut. Reports suggest that it will break cover at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, which contradicts several other reports that claim that the Ferrari 488 GTS (convertible) will debut at the same venue.
