A custom Isuzu MU-X has been showcased at the ongoing Bangkok International Motor Show. The latest iteration of the traditional Toyota Fortuner adversary has been on sale in Thailand in a price range of 1,04,000 baht (INR 22,00,577) to 1,42,000 baht (INR 30,01,172).
The custom Isuzu MU-X that has been showcased at the Bangkok International Motor Show carries a sporty look owing to the new bumpers, gloss black finish for the front upper grille and larger rims shod with low profile tires. The show car features the stock LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs and LED tail lights.
On the inside, the Isuzu MU-X features an all-black colour theme with faux brushed aluminium trim. The seats are draped in black leather upholstery that features contrast stitching. Taking centre stage on the dashboard is an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit that offers smartphone mirroring options.
The Thai-spec Isuzu MU-X has been on sale in two engine variants, both powered by diesel motors. The less powerful of the two features an RZ4E-TC 1.9-litre mill that outputs a maximum power of 150 PS and a peak torque of 350 Nm. The more potent iteration sports a 4JJ1-TCX 3.0-litre unit delivers 177 PS and 380 Nm. The less powerful oil-burner comes paired with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, but a 6-speed Rev Tronic automatic unit is available as an option. The bigger motor is available exclusively with the auto 'box.

The refreshed Isuzu MU-X went on sale in India on 26 October 2018, with the price range starting from INR 26,26,842 (ex-showroom). The India-spec MU-X mirrors the styling of the international version but is on sale only with the 3.0-litre diesel engine and a 5-speed automatic transmission. A shift-on-the-fly 4WD system is optional.
