The TVS NTORQ drum brake variant has started to arrive at the dealerships. Here's a walkaround video of the new variant.

The TVS Ntorq 125 drum brake has been priced at INR 58,252*. The TVS Ntorq 125 disc brake commands a premium of INR 1,648*and retails at INR 59,900*. The drum brake variant uses a 130 mm drum brake on both wheels to perform the anchoring tasks, while the disc brake variant features a 220 mm disc brake at the front and a 130 mm drum brake at the rear.

Apart from the different brake at the front, everything on the drum brake variant is the same as on the disc brake variant. The 125 cc scooter rivals the likes of Aprilia SR125 and Honda Grazia 125. Styling cues include stealth aircraft-inspired styling, gaming console inspired instrument console, split grab rail, diamond cut alloy wheels, T shape tail light and sporty muffler. This model has been designed to attract young customers.

The TVS Ntorq is powered by a BS-IV 124.79 cc single-cylinder, 3-valve, air-cooled, OHC motor that makes 9.4 PS at 7,500 rpm and 10.5 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The claimed top speed is 95 km/h. The safety net includes combi-braking system (CBS) on both, drum and disc brake variants.

One of the USPs of the TVS Ntorq 125 is the first in class SmartXonnect Connected Technology. The 'TVS NTORQ' SmartXonnect App connects the scooter to a smartphone via Bluetooth to offer features such as Navigation Assist, Last Parked Location Assist, Incoming Call Alert, Missed Call Alert, Auto Reply SMS, Phone Signal Strength, Phone Battery Strength and Ride Stats. The instrument console also includes an in-built lap timer, 0-60 km/h acceleration timer, three trip meters and a Power/Eco mode indicator.
