Unveiled last month, the BMW 2 Series will commence sales in March next year. Well in advance, BMW have announced the various M Performance Parts available for the 2 Series and here they are.
While the bulk of the parts focus on enhancing the visual appeal, some of them will actually make your 2 Series go faster. The M Performance Power Kit for the 220d increases power and torque outputs by 16 bhp and 40 Nm respectively, whilst having no impact on fuel consumption or emissions.
For the M235i, BMW will offer an optional M Performance limited-slip differential, which claims to "accelerate out of a bend even more dynamically" than possible.
An M Performance Sports Suspension can be specified on any 2 Series, and will lower the ride height by 20 mm. Special dampers and shortened coil springs will be offered in a red as part of the package. As far as the brakes are concerned, you can opt for the M Performance brake system, which isn't a carbon ceramic system, but is described "high-capacity" nonetheless.
The brake calipers themselves can be painted in red, yellow or orange, while two designs of M Performance, light-alloy, 19-inch wheels are also available.
