Available in two models.
Following the introduction of new exterior colour schemes for the Bajaj Avenger Cruiser 220 and the Bajaj Avenger Street 150, Bajaj Auto has silently launched the Bajaj Platina ComforTec in India. As the name suggests, the new Bajaj Platina claims to offer more comfort than rivaling motorcycles in its class.
The Bajaj Platina Comfortec has 28% longer front suspension and 28% longer double spring rear suspension compared to an undisclosed leading 100 cc motorcycle. Aided by 'Spring Soft' seat and rubber footpads, this package helps the Bajaj Platina Comfortec become 20% more resistant to jerks compared to the leading 100 cc motorcycle it was tested against.
The Bajaj Platina Comfortec is powered by the 102 cc DTS-i engine that produces 8.2 PS (8.08 hp) at 7,500 rpm and 8.6 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. Power is sent to the wheel via a 4-speed transmission. With this configuration, the Bajaj platina Comfortec has a fuel economy rating (as per ARAI testing norms) of 104 km/l.
