Same motorcycles but with different designs.
According to a tweet by Auto Life Nepal, HH Bajaj, the authorized distributor of Bajaj Auto in Nepal, has just launched the Discover 150F and the Discover 150S in the country for NPR 1,97,900 (INR 1.23 lakhs) and NPR 1,90,900 (INR 1.19 lakhs) respectively. The Discover 150F and Discover 150S are essentially the same motorcycle, but get unique design features.
The 'F' in the Discover 150F signifies the fairing, and is the higher priced of the two. Apart from the fairing and instrument cluster, the rest of the motorcycle parts are exactly the same, down the the engine. Both the machines use the same 144.8 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 14.5 PS of power and 12.75 Nm of torque, and is mated to a five-speed transmission.
Both machines boast identical 240 mm petal disc front and 130 mm drum at the rear, where the front disc is optional. The Discover twins feature a pair of telescopic forks up front with 130 mm travel and a Nitrox gas-filled monoshock at the rear that allows 110 mm of wheel travel.
Other features of the motorcycles include electric start, alloy wheels, tubeless tyres and LED taillamp. The motorcycles compete against a strong 150 cc lineup that consists of the Yamaha FZ-S, Hero Xtreme, Hero Hunk, and it's cousin, the Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTS-i.
