ABS with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution) has now been listed in the safety features list of the Hyundai Grand i10, Hyundai Xcent, and Hyundai i20. Until now, the listing specified only ABS as a feature with no mention of EBD.
Sportz and Asta grades of the Hyundai Grand i10 and SX and SX(O) grades of the Hyundai Xcent feature ABS with EBD. Meanwhile, the feature is now standard across all grades of the Hyundai i20. Hyundai's other high-end offerings including Verna, Creta, Elantra, and Tucson also get ABS with EBD as standard fitment.
Along with enhancing the safety aspect of its products, the company has also announced pan-India initiatives observing the Road Safety Week starting April 23rd- April 30th, 2018. As part of the effort, Hyundai will offer 20-point safety checkup for its vehicles at all dealerships. Additionally, sales and service camps will be organised in Resident Welfare Associations and residential societies, inviting children to participate in drawing and slogan competition with Traffic Safety as the theme. Complementing Hyundai's Road Safety campaign are the BeTheBetterGuy videos touching upon aspects like Under Age Driving, drunk driving, avoiding usage of cellphones while driving, overspeeding and violation of Traffic Signal.
