Like on the Apache RTR 200 4V, the changes on the Apache RTR 160 4V will include a revised front fascia that will pack a full LED headlight and larger LED DRLs. The source report suggests that the upcoming Apache RTR 200 4V and the RTR 160 4V will receive an updated instrument console that will come with Bluetooth connectivity and offer functions like turn-by-turn navigation. Do note that TVS already offers a Bluetooth function on its 125 cc scooter, the NTORQ 125. The updated model will also pack a revised alloy wheel design that will come directly from the RTR 200 4V.

The engine will also undergo an upgrade to comply with the BS-VI emission norms. The BS-VI model will only come in fuel injection version. The performance numbers are not likely to be much different from the current fuel-injected RTR 160 4V. The 159.7 cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled 4-valve motor on the current bike makes 16.8 PS at 8,000 rpm and 14.8 Nm at 6,500 rpm.

The new Apache RTR 160 4V will pack an almost identical styling and hardware specifications as the current model. Thus, you will see a dual-tone finish to the fuel tank with an asymmetrically mounted filler cap, a single-piece seat, stylish pillion grab rail and an engine cowl. The taillight will continue to feature an LED setup. The flat, single-piece handlebar will deliver upright, city-friendly ergonomics.

Shock absorption department will comprise conventional telescopic front forks and a monoshock at the back. Anchoring department will be handled by a petal-type disc brake on the front and a drum setup at the back on the base variant. The premium versions will use disc brakes on both ends. The safety net will comprise single-channel ABS as standard.

The updated range will carry a marginal premium over the existing models.
