Bajaj Auto will soon extend the colour palette of the 2019 Dominar 400 (UG) with the launch of a glossy red paint option. The company is already selling red-coloured units in export markets. Recently, a matte red Dominar 400 was spotted at a dealership in Mexico.

The glossy red Dominar 400 colour was previously photographed at Bajaj Auto’s Chakan plant earlier this month. The paint option was also seen in promotional videos of the 2019 Dominar 400. The company's flagship model will cost the same in the glossy red colour as in the other colours – INR 174,125 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The MY2019 update has already started increasing the sales of the Bajaj Dominar 400. The new colour option should be launched ahead of the festive season to further boost the sales. The bike clocked 60% growth in year-on-year numbers for June. Check out the six-month sales performance of the motorcycle before and after the MY2019 update in the table below:

Currently, the 2019 Dominar 400 is available in two colour options – Aurora Green and Vine Black.
Apart from new colour options, the Dominar 400 has received more power (+5 PS) and features this year. One of the major changes is the 373.3cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine getting a DOHC system. This engine now produces 40 PS of maximum power at 8,650 rpm and 35 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm.

The updated features on the 2019 iteration include revised internals for the headlight and taillight for better performance and a different layout for the instrument console for better readability. Hardware upgrades include upside-down front forks, radially mounted front calliper and twin-barrel exhaust design. Other key improvements made to the motorcycle include forged steel side stand, updated mirror design, cast aluminium stalks for the rearview mirrors, new tank pad decals and bungee straps under the pillion seat.
