Unlike the international model, the Indian-spec KTM 125 Duke carries forward the styling of the previous generation model and the current 200 Duke. The reason behind going for the old design was to keep the price competitive. However, unlike some of its rivals, KTM has not traded the hardware specifications to cut the costs. Thus, the India-spec KTM 125 Duke comes with features like the trellis frame, aluminium swingarm and 43 mm upside-down telescopic forks.
The 125 Duke features a 124.7 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine. Paired with a six-speed gearbox, the motor is tuned to deliver 14.5 PS of power at 9,250 revs and 12 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm. Stopping power comes from disc brakes on both wheels, while the safety net of single-channel ABS, as mentioned above, comes as standard.
