If you plan to retain your pre-2017 KTM 390 Duke and NOT trade it for the upcoming 390 Adventure, Sahyadri Moto has something that should catch your attention. Although a city-focussed motorcycle, the 390 Duke has been used as a touring bike by many owners. The Austrian pocket rocket can munch miles for a decent amount of time at commendable speeds without much strain on the engine.

To enhance its touring capabilities, Sahyadri Moto has introduced Dirtsack Llama panniers compatible saddle stays for the pre-2017 390 Duke motorcycles. The same saddle stays could also be used on the 200 Duke. The black colour of the saddle stays merges well with the back panels of the KTM 390/200 Duke. The saddle stays are aimed to prevent soft panniers from coming into contact with the rear tyre. At INR 3,200, the luggage accessories are quite affordable.
The Dirtsack Llama panniers, with a total carrying capacity of 74 litres, would set you back by INR 28,500. Hard luggage panniers offer better protection to the contents against rains or in case of a crash, while the locking mechanism ensures safety against theft.
Meanwhile, KTM is preparing to introduce luggage solutions of its own with the upcoming 390 Adventure. A test mule of the motorcycle was spotted with hard panniers and a top-box – all of which would be sold as Powerparts through KTM dealerships across the country. The optional accessories would bear KTM branding.

The new KTM 390 Adventure continues to undergo pre-production tests in the Indian market. Engine specifications on the upcoming 390 Adventure include a 373.2cc, single-cylinder, 4-Valve, liquid-cooled, DOHC motor. The powertrain on the 390 Duke delivers 43.5 hp of max power at 9,500 rpm and 35 Nm of peak torque at 7,250 rpm. The adventure spec model could get revised engine mapping and gear ratio for a better low-end grunt.
